Senior Spirit celebrates 13 Years!

On September 8th, W.B.R. Senior Spirit celebrates 13 years! Oh, the places you have been!
What a remarkable journey you have all been on together!

Corn Hole

Would you like to learn the game of Corn Hole? A demonstration from a local Corn Hole Team is being planned at the pavilion at Alexander Park in Brusly. We will learn the rules and have a lesson later this month. If you are interested, please call Layne at 215-5290 to sign-up. Please bring a lawn chair!

Blast from the Past

What a great trip to Memphis on September 15-17, 2010! The Senior Spirit group pictured here took a bus trip to Memphis for blues and barbeque with Father Matthew Dupre'. These 48 members went to the Peabody Hotel, toured Sun Studios, Graceland, Beale Street, and the Rock 'N Soul Museum.

That's what WBR Senior Spirit was doing 11 years ago this month!

Michelangelo Exhibit

The Michelangelo Exhibit is still scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge. MASKS are required.

If you still plan to attend, please bring $12.50 to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Office in Brusly. We will not be able to have lunch together due to Covid.

Please plan to carpool from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church parking lot at 9:00 am.

Lucy Landry's Retirement Party has NOT been rescheduled yet.

Hand Sanitizer and Masks are available at the door of the Brusly Senior Center.

Cancelation of classes and activities will be posted on the Bulletin Board. Please contact your Group Leader if you are unsure.

NO bus trips will be planned until COVID cases have subsided and we can travel safely.

IPhone & IPad Class at WBR Library

The tech skills classes for IPhones and IPads will be held once a month in the WBR Library Meeting Room from 10:00 am-12:00 pm on the following dates: September 8, October 13, November 10, and December 8.

Please Note - Senior Spirit Center Closure

The Senior Spirit Center will be closed August 30-September 5 while the building interior is painted. There will be NO classes, meetings, or activities during this time.
